John was admitted as a solicitor in 1997 after obtaining an Honours Degree in Law from the Queensland University of Technology. He was employed as a Senior Solicitor for a national top tier firm in their commercial litigation division before becoming a Barrister in Brisbane in 2001. In August 2009 John joined OMB as Special Counsel. John's practice has a focus on commercial litigation and he has a specific expertise in property, securities, insolvency and insurance matters including providing advice on risk management and policy coverage to some of Australia's largest insurers. He has also acted in contested estate litigation. John is married with 4 children.
