Elisha Quigg – Senior Associate

Biography

Elisha joined the team at OMB Solicitors in October 2016. Having previously worked in the legal industry for several years, Elisha has developed a keen interest in Property and Litigation including Body Corporate Law.

Elisha graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University in 2015 and completed her post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2016. She has since been admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.

Since her admission, Elisha has acted for a variety of clients, having made appearances before both Federal and State Courts in commercial litigation. Her experience and advice extends to enforcement of Judgments (i.e. Bankruptcy), Body Corporate disputes (including levy recovery and adjudication before the Body Corporate Commissioner’s Office), building defect claims, contractual disputes, estate litigation, intellectual property and conveyancing.

Elisha manages client cases with a strong eye for detail and exceptional organisation skills. She understands the importance of providing practical and commercial advice ensuring the objectives of the client are advanced in a cost effective way.

Having been born and raised on the Gold Coast, she has developed strong ties to the Gold Coast Community. Her friendly and approachable persona allows her to effectively interact and establish professional relationships with colleagues and her clients.

Elisha believes in giving back to the community. She volunteers at the Robina Community Legal Centre providing free legal advice to those in need and was elected as a Committee Member of the Gold Coast District Law Association in August 2018, a forum for local legal practitioners to connect with each other and the community and to advance the interest of justice and the practice of law on the Gold Coast.

Elisha keeps busy riding competitively in the sport of Showjumping (Equestrian). Over the years she has obtained a number of state titles and has competed and placed in the top five of Australia on more than one occasion. When she is not competing or working, she devotes her time to operating her small business, Tally Lodge Equestrian, where she coaches, trains and mentors juniors riders. She also volunteers her time fulfilling Committee Positions for the Bond University Equestrian Club and Tallebudgera Pony Club and, as part of that, has organised a number of high calibre equestrian events on the Gold Coast.
