Biography
Jennie was admitted as a Solicitor in the NSW in 1998 after obtaining an Honours Degree in Law from the University of Wollongong.
Prior to obtaining her legal degree, Jennie first graduated with a Bachelor of Science and worked in the field of respiratory science in two Sydney hospitals. She also spent time pursuing her love of sport whilst working as an exercise physiologist.
After transitioning from the field of science and into legal practice, Jennie worked in country NSW and then Sydney and within both the public and private sector.
Upon moving to Queensland in 2006, Jennie initially worked in Toowoomba for four years before moving to the Gold Coast in 2010 where she is now firmly established with her family.
Jennie was able to combine her two areas of study and work by undertaking a Master of Health and Medical Law at the University of Melbourne. She graduated with Honours in 2012 and has developed a practice in health and medical law as well has firmly establishing her role as an experienced litigator in the area of insurance and personal injury.
In her spare time, Jennie is kept busy with her family and enjoys travel, the outdoor life and all things aquatic.
Jennie joined OMB Solicitors in 2020.
Since moving to Queensland in 2006, Jennie has worked almost exclusively for clients in insurance disputes – primarily personal injury. She has conducted matters in most jurisdictions ranging from the Consumer and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) through to the Queensland Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal.
Her ability to communicate well with her clients and build strong relations based upon trust and understanding assists clients to navigate claims during a time that is often daunting and challenging. Jennie is also able to apply both her legal and scientific thinking to her clients advantage and bring a real understanding to the issues involved in complex insurance and health matters.
Jennie can assist clients in a range of insurance litigation matters in areas that may affect them including:

- Motor Vehicle Claims
- Public Liability claims

Background in science to include working as an exercise physiologist and also in the field of respiratory science. Upon obtaining her legal qualifications, Jennie now combines both fields and has experience in personal injury claims to include medical negligence, motor vehicle claims, public liability claims and work injuries.
Jennie can also ofter experience and assistance in litigation to include more general insurance matters and product liability.

Has significant experience in identifying crucial issues (whether they are legal or practical matters) in litigated injury and insurance claims and utilises her dual background to give her clients that advantage they need.
