Know About OMB Family Law’s Roadmap to Resolution

Hi, I’m Abbi Golightly, partner at OMB Solicitors and an accredited specialist in family law. Today, I wanted to take you through OMB Family Law’s roadmap to resolution.

Our roadmap to resolution is the process we take you on when helping you resolve your property settlement matter. Step number one is our assessment stage. During this stage, we assess the preliminary legal issues that apply to your circumstances, and we then put in place a preliminary plan to reach your resolution.

Step number two is our gathering stage. During this stage, we discuss with you the documents we need you to gather to assist us in helping you towards resolution. Once you have gathered those documents, we help you identify the further information we need and the sources from which it can come.

Step number three is our advice stage. During the advice stage, we take the information that we have gathered in stages one and two, and give you our preliminary assessment of a range of outcomes applicable to your circumstances, taking into account the various legal considerations and the factual information you’ve provided us.

Step number four in our roadmap to resolution is the resolve stage. At this time, we discuss with you the most appropriate process through which to resolve your matter.

Those processes can involve direct negotiations, mediation, collaborative practices, arbitration, or litigation. The final stage in our roadmap to resolution is finalise. In this stage, we assist you in documenting the agreement that has been reached after the conclusion of the resolve stage.

We discuss with you the most appropriate documentation to resolve your matter and assist you in finalising and executing those documents bringing a conclusion to your property settlement. Should you require any assistance regarding your property settlement matters, please contact us here at OMB Solicitors.
