Vanessa received a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Business majoring in Management from Queensland University of Technology in 2006. She was admitted to practice in December 2007.
Vanessa is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator after completing her mediation training through Bond University, and is currently finalizing her studies with Bond University to also receive her Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
Vanessa is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council, and the Family Law Practitioners Association. Vanessa is also a member of Protect all Children Today.
